WhatsApp will soon provide us the colorful text status feature in a future WhatsApp update. WhatsApp is reportedly testing a new feature that will allow users to post status updates with a colorful background.According to a report by Android Police, the feature is available in the WhatsApp Android beta version 2.17.291.
A floating pen icon in the Status tab, right above the camera icon. By clicking that brings up the option to type a status, choose a font, emoji, and the background color. After making desired changes it can be published.
