Have you ever shattered or cracked your smartphone screen? If yes then we know exactly how painful it is. For people like you and me, Motorola has come up with a technology – a self-healing display.
How Self-Healing Display Works:
At the first point, the screen will be made of a special type of polymer rather than glass. It might not feel as nice as glass but most people anyways tend to use screen protectors.
If you drop your phone and crack the screen, you simply fire up a dedicated application to put it into repair mode. Polymer heals itself when it’s exposed to quick changes in temperature. For this, you will need a special repair pad. Currently, Motorola is testing this technology and has already received the patents required. So you may expect this to be a reality in near future.
