Microsoft has announced the next major version of Office this year at the Ignite Conference. Called Office 2019, the new Office will be available in the middle of 2018. The new version of Office will introduce new versions of Excel and PowerPoint, as well as expanding on features like inking, letting you draw over the top of different document types.
If you recall, the last standalone version of Office was launched back in 2015, so this will be the first big standalone release in nearly three years. Microsoft will be sharing more info on Office 2019 in the coming months but for now, if you’re on Office 365 then you have all the up-to-date features.
