The PlayStation 5 gaming console will release this year. It is no secret that it is one of the most anticipated devices. There are even talks that Sony might officially announce the device as soon as next month. Sony’s counterpart, Microsoft unveiled the Xbox series X design a few weeks ago. As per some older reports, the PlayStation Meeting 2020 was initially supposed to happen this February. However, there’s no official news on that. Even though there’s nothing official about the PS5 but on the internet, you can see multiple leaks about the PlayStation 5 design.
Initially, this render of the PlayStation 5 leaked on the internet. May developers who have access to the PS5 dev kit confirmed that the console is real. However, this is the dev kit console and not the final design. This can be true as there’s always a lot of differences between the dev kit console and the final product. However, creating a whole new design just for using it as a dev kit seems a bit odd to us.
Soon after the photos of the dev kit console started flooding the internet. There was nothing suspicious till then. However, things changed quickly as someone published the following image on Reddit. The image shows the Japanese version of the PlayStation’s website. What’s makes the image so interesting is that it has a PS5 icon in the menu bar. The icon was there on the website for a brief time period.
The icon clearly shows the inverted ‘V’ design of the dev kit. The website So is this going to be the final PlayStation 5 design? There’s no way to confirm right now. It is not really clear if the image is real or it is purposefully manipulated to create hype. We have seen quite a lot of fakes including the PS5 fake booting screen images.
Now, there’s no way to say if the final product will look the same. However, we are pretty sure that there will be differences in the dev kit and the final design of PlayStation 5.
