Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro Max and Redmi Note 9 Pro launched in India

A Chinese smartphone company, Xiaomi launched two Redmi Note smartphones in India at the launch event, called Redmi Note 9 Pro Max and Redmi Note 9 Pro. Both the smartphones are high-end devices and the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is the top model. Xiaomi Mi Max series is known for the big screen and a massive battery. Now, it looks like the company reviving the big screen feature with Redmi Note 9 Pro Max.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is the first-ever smartphone from the Redmi series that comes with a bigger screen. The Note 9 Pro max comes with a huge battery, 64-megapixel camera, powerful processor and more.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro Max specifications

The Redmi Note 9 Pro MAX features a 6.67-inch IPS display panel that supports 1080 x 2400 pixels of resolution and offers a 20:9 aspect ratio. There is Corning Gorilla Glass protection on both front and rear sides including rear cameras. The phone powered by Octa-Core CPU under the hood which clocks at 2.3 GHz along with Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G (8 nm) chipset. There is an LPDDR4X RAM along with UFS 2.1 tech internal storage. The company launched three variants of the RAM and ROM phone, first comes with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB internal storage, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB internal storage and last 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB storage. The phone also comes with a dedicated micro SD card slot on board.

Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 9 Pro Max featured with quad cameras set up on the backside along with LED flash. The rear cameras configurations are 64-megapixel main camera, 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, 5-megapixel macro camera, and 2-megapixel depth camera. The rear camera of the phone supports 4k video recording, wide-angle video recording at 21:9, 1080p slow-motion video at 120fps, RAW photography, and improved night mode. On the front side, there is a 32-megapixel AI-powered camera sensor for selfies and video calls. It runs on the Android 10 operating system out of the box along with MIUI 11 running on top.

The Note 9 Pro Max packed with 5020 mAh battery and comes with a 33W fast charging feature. The company said that the phone can be charged up to 50 percent in just 30 minutes. The company also claims that the phone will deliver 20.5 days stand by battery back up, 26 hours of video playback and 11 hours of PUBG gaming battery back up. The phone featured with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max will available in Aurora Blue, Glacier White, and Interstellar Black color options. The phone has dual SIM support, 4G VoLTE connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 2×2 MIMO, 3.5 audio jack port, IR blaster and USB C-Type connectivity features. The company said that the Note 9 Pro Max comes with built-in India’s own NavIC navigation system.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro specifications

Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with almost the same specifications as the Pro Max model. The main difference between both is a camera and charging speed. It comes with the same 6.67-inch display pane with 1080 x 2400 pixels of resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. There is a splash-resistant p2i nano-coating. The phone has the same Octa-Core Snapdragon 720G processor under the hood along with GPU. The company launched the two RAM and storage variants of the phone, one with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB internal storage and other with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB internal storage. This also supports micro SD cards.

On the backside the are also quad cameras setup with LED flash. But instead of 64 megapixels, there is a Samsung GM2 48-megapixel main camera and rest are the same 8-megapixel ultra-wide, 5-megapixel macro and 2-megapixel depth. On the front side, there is only a 16-megapixel camera for selfies. The Redmi Note 9 Pro packed with the same 5020 mAh battery inside. But, it only supports 18W fast charger.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro Max and Redmi Note 9 Pro price and availability

The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max will go on sale on March 25th and will available on Amazon India, mi.com, Mi Home, Mi Studio and offline stores. While the Redmi Note 9 Pro will go on sale on March 17th on the same Amazon India, mi.com, Mi Home, Mi Studio and offline stores.
