Apple has stated in the note released with this beta update, ‘In iOS 13.5 GM update users will be able to unlock the device even by wearing a mask, with the passcode field added. Also, an exposure notification API has been added for COVID-19 tracing, which will help contact tracing to public health authorities. Apart from this, there will be an option to control automatic video tiles of group FaceTime calls with this update, as well as many improvements and bugs have also been fixed.
Let us tell you that since last month Apple and Google were working together on the COVID-19 contact tracing program. Exposure notification APIs rolled out with iOS 13.5 GM update will help the government’s public health department with COVID-19 contact tracing. The Exposition Notification API uses Bluetooth Low Energy to detect if you have been in contact with a COVID-19 infected person in the last 14 days.
