OnePlus Nord Official Price Reveal; To Be Available Under $500

Initially, Nord will roll out in India and Europe only

OnePlus has officially revealed the price of its first affordable smartphone, OnePlus Nord, after a week full of speculations and leaks. CEO Pete Lau said in a documentary that the smartphone will fall under the bracket of $500. Lau also said that OnePlus Nord will be the first smartphone to be priced below $500 in recent years by the company.

OnePlus Nord Leaked Specs

In terms of specifications, it has been confirmed that the smartphone will sport a dual selfie camera and a triple rear camera setup. The company has claimed that OnePlus Nord will have specifications of flagship standard.

As per the previous leaks, Nord will have two different RAM variants, including 8GB RAM and 12GB RAM. Apart from that, the phone will have a 6.4-inch display and a 90Hz refresh rate. It will be based on Android 10 and will run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 processor.

Pre-booking and launch date

OnePlus will launch in India and Europe initially, and the pre-booking will start from July 1 at 2:00 PM IST. Only 100 units of the smartphone will be available for pre-booking in the beginning. The smartphone will go on sale after the official launch by the company.

There is no word about the exact launch date of OnePlus Nord. Speculations are that it will hit the Indian market on July 10, 2020.

The company has also confirmed that the smartphone will be available in North America to a few users. Users will get OnePlus Nord under a limited beta program to be hosted by the company.

OnePlus is going to enter the mid-range smartphones segment with OnePlus Nord. This company took this decision in order to increase its reach and connect with more people as midrange smartphones are in high demand. Let’s see how OnePlus will tackle other companies like Xiaomi, Realme, and others.
