Redmi 9A Expected to Launch Under Poco Brand: Reports

Recently, Redmi 9A was launched in Malaysia

A few days ago, Xiaomi launched the Redmi 9A entry-level smartphone in Malaysia. Now the new speculation roaming on the internet is that Xiaomi Redmi 9A could be introduced in other markets under the company’s sub-brand, Poco. 

Today, Xiaomi’s multiple models appeared on TUV Rheinland certifications. All the spotted models start with the M2006C3 model number. This means all of them are Redmi 9A models. On the site, there is a device with the M2006C3MI model number Poco is mentioned in brackets next to it, suggesting that the phone could release as a Poco smartphone. 

Xiaomi already rebranded its many mid-range smartphones under the Poco brand. If this is true, it will be interesting to see the first Poco entry-level smartphone.  However, there are no official confirmation from the company regarding the launch of the Redmi 9A smartphone under Poco. The phone is available in Malaysia at Rs 6,250 approximately.

Xiaomi Redmi 9A specs

Xiaomi’s Redmi 9A comes with a 6.5-inch IPS display panel with HD+ resolution and dewdrop notch design. It offers a tall 20:9 aspect ratio. It comes equipped with a massive 5,000 mAh battery. It runs on Android 10 OS and is based on MIUI 11 running on top. The phone is powered by Octa-Core CPU which clocks at 2.0 GHz along with Helio G25 chipset on board. 

Redmi’s 9A has 2 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage. It also allows you to expand the memory of the phone by using a micro SD card. It has a single 13-megapixel camera on the backside along with an LED flash. For taking selfies, there is a 5-megapixel front camera. 

In terms of connectivity, the phone features Dual SIM, Dual VoLTE, Wi-Fi 801, Bluetooth 5.0, USB port, and 3.5 mm audio jack port.
