Google to introduce Gmail chat Feature for Android and iOS

Google, after the successful launch of Google Meet for both Android and iOS Gmail users, hints to launch ‘Chat’ and ‘Room’ options for the same. The company had announced the integration of Meet with Gmail for both Android and iOS users in the month of April, through which users could directly join the call or attend meetings via Gmail. The results of it reflected in the month of May. Similarly, Gmail chat is about to be part of Android and iOS Gmail users.

It is expected that soon this integration of ‘Chat’ and ‘Room’ will be witnessed on the accounts of Gmail app users. ‘Chat’ involves one-on-one communication whereas ‘Room’ gives an option to communicate with many, basically a group collaboration.

According to reports generated by 9to5 Google, its decompilation of the APK files of the latest updated version of Gmail on Google Play Store reflected some code strings which were an indication of ‘Chat’ and ‘Room’ option integration to Gmail for all the Android and iOS users.

Introduction of Gmail chat for Android and iOS will enhance the focused working of people. It will help to easily work on emails, chats, and meeting at the same time. As of now, it is not confirmed whether this feature will be seen in future or not. But attempts to make it happen are clearly visible. And to add, reports even suggested that user might have the authority to disable the options if not required under certain conditions.
