JioMeet App India Launch: How To Use JioMeet App In Android, iOS?

JioMeet crosses 100K downloads on Google Play Store

Reliance Jio has introduced its new video conferencing app named JioMeet in India. The app is available for both Android and iOS users on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store respectively.

At the time when anti-China sentiments are on its peak in the country, JioMeet can attract a lot of users easily. As of now, the app has already crossed more than 100K downloads on the Google Play Store. The app provides a free video conference service for up to 100 participants for unlimited hours. The best part about the service is that it is completely free.

JioMeet app has a very user-friendly interface and simple controls. You can simply start using the app by signing up using your mobile number or Email ID.

How To Arrange A Video Conference Via Jio Meet App

  1. Firstly, download the app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
  2. Open the JioMeet app and create your account using your mobile phone number or E-mail ID.
  3. After successfully creating your account, tap on the New Meeting button available on the app screen.
  4. Then tap the Start Meeting button and your video conference will successfully start.
  5. You can add participants by tapping the Participants button and then sharing the meeting link by tapping the invite button.

NOTE: If you don’t have the JioMeet app, then too you can join a video conference with the help of a browser. You can even join a meeting in the app without making an account on JioMeet. All you need is the invite link for video conference and the password to join it.

In the above-mentioned ways, you can use the JioMeet app to host or join a meeting. However, a major limitation with the app is that the screen share option is only available for the Android and iOS apps.
It means that a person joining the meeting from a desktop cannot share the screen. Speculations are that Jio will soon launch a full-fledged web version for the JioMeet app.
