Summary: Chinese brand Oppo has come up with more natural looking notch design for their Oppo F9 Pro. As per the teaser, the notch comes from the inspiration of water droplets. The notch, however, resembles the Essential Phone’s notch. Other than the notch the device comes with a gradient back finish which looks really amazing. The device may include a 6.3-inch display, an octa-core chipset, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of onboard storage. There will also be a 3500 mAh battery and VOOC fast charging.
It looks like the Chinese smartphone manufacturers have started to make the competition even more interesting. In recent times, Vivo introduced the truly bezel-free smartphone Vivo Nex. And now, Oppo has come up with another almost bezel-less design for their Oppo F9 Pro.
The device comes with a new notch design inspired by Water. Though it is physically present, the notch doesn’t look too ugly. It isn’t too big either. Rather it is pretty small and looks like a water droplet and covers only the front camera.
The official video teaser of the device also shows a beautiful new gradient finish at the back. It looks pretty good to be honest, at least on the teaser. The teaser shows each and every side of the phone.
From the teaser, it is pretty clear that the smartphone will have a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The amazing new gradient back will be available in three colors and they are Sunrise Red, Twilight Blue, and Starry Purple.
The video also shows the device will come with Oppo’s VOOC Flash Charge functionality. As per them, this will give the device 2 hours of talk time boost from just 5 minutes of charging. However, it looks like even after being an upper mid-range device the phone will come with a Micro USB connector. To have Micro USB in an upper mid-range smartphone of 2018 is really disappointing.
As per our sources, the device will come with a 6.3-inch having 1080 x 2280 resolution, an octa-core chipset, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of onboard storage. The device may also include a 3500 mAh battery and Mali-G72 MP3 GPU.
The device is all set for a release in India, Vietnam, and the Philippines on August 15th. Currently, there is no information regarding a global launch right now. However, we will update the article with proper news if any new news breaks about the device.
