Xiaomi is going to launch a lot of new smartphones this year. Xiaomi 6X and Xiaomi 7 is few of them. But users are still waiting for Redmi Note 5. A lot of rumors were there on the market last year for the smartphone. Redmi Note 5 has now received 3C certification in China, as per the report. The certification has been given to two models of the upcoming Redmi Note series smartphone that are listed as the Xiaomi MEE7S and MET7S. Reports say that Xiaomi is going to launch Redmi Note 5 in the second quarter of the year. Also, some of the speculations in the past say that the company might launch the Redmi 5 Plus instead of the Redmi Note 5 as the successor to the Redmi Note 4.
But some of new discovery’s says that Xiaomi is soon going to launch the all-new Redmi Note model. A report from MyDrivers claims that the Redmi Note 5 has now been certified by 3C in China. The report also highlights some of the key specs of the phone. The base variant of the new model will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC, while its top-end version will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC. Yes, we know the previous news was somewhat different when it comes to processors. Previous claims were made of Note 5 having Snapdragon 632 processor that is yet to arrive in the market. But there is now news when the Snapdragon 630 and Snapdragon 636 are going to launch. This might be the reason Xiaomi is launching Redmi Note 5 with the earlier processors.

If we ignore the change in processors, rest of the newly reported specifications of the Redmi Note 5 are quite in line with the previous reports. Redmi Note 5 is going to launch with 5.99- inch full -HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It’s Snapdragon 630 variant will have 3GB of RAM and 32 GB onboard storage. While its Snapdragon 636 version is reported to have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, as reported by MyDrivers. The device is said to have a dual camera setup on the back with a 16-megapixel primary camera sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary camera sensor. Further, an 8-megapixel is rumored to be available on the front.
The Redmi Note 5 is expected to come with a 4100mAh battery that would support an upgraded, Fast Charging Technology. The base variant is expected to have a price tag of Rs. 15,000. whereas its higher-end version is reported to come at roughly Rs. 18,000. At last, we might see this smartphone at MWC 2018.
