A dual boot tablet with Android and Windows 10 is coming soon

Tablet Industry is increasing massively day by day. As we are watching lots of new innovations in new tablets. Surface Phone, a Folding tablet from Microsoft and now a Chinees company is coming with a dual boot tablet. Windows tablets are great for productivity. But the only problem with them is less app. Unlike Android which has almost every app available, Windows have a very less number of apps available.

Because of this reason user prefer using Android tablets as it allows them to use more apps and reduce the use of laptops. Enter Chinese tablet manufacturer, Chuwi, who has just launched a new tablet called Hi8 Air. It is a dual-boot tablet that runs Windows 10 and Android, and which allows users to switch between the two with 2 button presses. Chuwi is a popular Chinese brand and has launched many decent tablets in the past.

This is not the first time that company has developed a dual-boot tablet. They do have a  history of launching dual-boot tablets. So we do have some expectations from the new model. Many other companies have also announced and then never came with the device.

Some Key Specs:

The Hi8 Air is the upgraded version of the existing Hi8 tablet and comes with an 8″ FHD display with 16:10 ratio. It is powered by 1.44 GHz Intel X5 Cherry Trail Z8350 processor. The device can be boosted by  1.92 GHz and 2 GB RAM. Hi8 Air has  32GB of internal storage and supports MicroSD Card up to 128 GB. The tablet comes with a 4000 mAh battery to power the hardware. Also, this tablet supports Bluetooth 4.0 and has a 3,5 mm headphone jack, metal chassis. Along with micro USB and micro HDMI port.

Dual Boot Tablet

Yes, the specs might not impress you, but the tablet is said to be for student and should be very affordable. Also, the biggest flaw in this dual boot tablet is that it is running Android 5.1. Which is not even supported by Google now. The dual boot tablet will allow you to use Windows 10 but at least Android Marshmallow or Nougat would have been better, especially as it already sells tablets with Android 7. But if you want to use two different platforms on a single device then you can go for this tablet.
