Tenor (10.or) which recently entered as an Amazon brand, launched its 10.or D in India last week. After launching the 10.or E and 10.or G, the company introduced 10.or D. Tenor D is an entry-level smartphone with similar specs like Xiaomi’s Redmi 5A.
The 10.or D is a result of collaboration with Longcheer and comes as part of the Crafted for Amazon initiative. It features products that made in India and designed for India. Xiaomi recently announced 5A which is the cheapest smartphone and now with the launch of 10 or D, the game is now becoming more interesting. So, let’s have a quick look at 10 or D’s Specifications.
10.or D is available in Gold and Beyond Black color options. In India Price starts at Rs. 4,999 for the 2GB of RAM/ 16GB storage and goes up to Rs. 5,999 for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant. It will go on sale Exclusively at Amazon India at 12 pm on January 5, and registrations for the first sale have already opened.
Now, coming to the comparison The Xiaomi Redmi 5A (2GB RAM/ 16GB) priced at Rs. 5,999 and the (3GB RAM/ 32GB) variant priced at Rs. 6,999. First 5 million units of the 2GB RAM variant was available for a discounted price of Rs. 4,999.
On the other hand, The 10.or D price in India is Rs. 4,999 for the 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, and Rs. 5,999 for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant. So in terms of pricing the Tenor D has a clear win.
In terms of design, The Tenor D has got a bulky and wider design mostly because of the bigger battery. Whereas, Redmi 5A’s Design is more compact. The most distinguishing fact is Tenor D has fingerprint sensor which is missing on the Redmi 5A. So if you are looking for a budget device with fingerprint sensor then opt for Tenor.
Both of the devices have an HD display but Tenor Sports a 5.2 inch where Redmi 5A has 5-inch Display. Tenor D get soft touch buttons, while Redmi 5A has opted for touch buttons at the bottom of the screen. If you ask about the display quality then Redmi 5A has sharper and brighter display. Here Redmi 5A takes the win.
On the Hardware side, both phones have SD 425 underneath and offer pretty similar hardware. Whereas the software part Tenor comes with Stock Android and Redmi 5A has MIUI skin on top. It will depend on the personal preference as both MIUI and Stock Android have their own advantages. On the battery part, Tenor D has 3500mah which is bigger than Redmi 5A’s 3000mah.
In the camera department, don’t raise your expectations as both are entry-level devices. However, almost every review says that Redmi 5A has a better overall camera performance than Tenor D. So on that note Redmi 5A’s camera takes the crown.
There is no doubt that Both the smartphones are value for money. If you want a slight big display, Extra Battery, Fingerprint Sensor and of course a dedicated microSD slot then go for Tenor D. Else, You can opt for Redmi 5A for better display quality, camera, and brand value.
