Just like we reported yesterday, Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro in India. However, the bigger surprise is that Xiaomi has finally launched the Mi TV 4 in India. As per the company, the TV is among the thinnest and also comes with features especially for the Indian market.
The TV comes has a 55-inch LED panel and comes with 4K resolution and HDR support. Xiaomi has used Samsung’s display panel for the 55-inch Mi TV 4. Furthermore, the TV runs on Android TV OS with Xiaomi’s own Patchwall. Patchwall is a deep artificial intelligence (AI) based system that understands your preferences over time and recommends content accordingly. The TV also comes with Dolby audio support.
One of the aspects which we liked the most is its design. The TV looks absolutely stunning from our perspective. At the thinnest point, the Mi TV 4 is only 4.9mm thick which is even less than most smartphone’s thickness these days.
The Mi TV 4 runs on a 64 bit quad-core CPU and comes coupled with 2 GB of RAM. Furthermore, the internal storage of the TV is 8 GB. Comming to the connectivity part, you get support for Bluetooth 4.0, dual-band WiFI 2.4 GHz/5 GHz, 3 HDMI ports, 2 USB ports and one ethernet port.
The remote of the Xiaomi Mi TV 4 comes with 11 buttons. Moreover, it works on Bluetooth rather than IR sensors which means you can actually use the remote even without pointing it towards the television itself. Interestingly enough, it works for both the set-top box as well as the smart TV.
Xiaomi has also entered into a partnership with Voot, Hungama Play, and Sony Liv and promises more than 500,000 hours of content. Currently, the Mi TV 4 will be available in India through Flipkart, Mi.com and through Mi Home for ₹39,999. The sales of the much-awaited TV will start from 22nd February 2018.
As per our report last night, Xiaomi has today released the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro in India. The Redmi Note 5 Pro will cost ₹13,999 for the 4 GB RAM and 64 GB inbuilt storage variant. Whereas, the price for the 6 GB RAM and 64 GB ROM variant will cost ₹16,999.
The main attraction of the phone is its iPhone X like vertical dual rear camera setup which houses a 12 + 5 MP sensor combination. Besides the rear camera, Xiaomi has also put in a 20 MP front-facing camera for amazing selfies. The phone will also feature Snapdragon 636 and ‘face unlock’ technology.
Along with the Mi TV 4 and Redmi Note 5 Pro, Xiaomi has also launched Redmi Note 5 the successor of the highly acclaimed Redmi Note 4 in India.
The pricing of the device starts at ₹9,999 for the 3 GB RAM and 32 GB ROM variant. However, the 4 GB RAM variant which comes with 64 GB storage costs ₹11,999. The device comes with a massive 4000 mAh battery and Snapdragon 625 SoC. below are the full specifications of Redmi Note 5.
