Oppo Find X to exclude the notch for pop-up cameras

Summary: Android is in the era of experiments. It was the last innovation that Oppo emulated with their oppo Find X, a near all-screen smartphone which also hides its selfie camera behind a motorized slider. The company announced in Paris that the handset the handset features a record-breaking 92.25% screen to body ratio. The smartphone is said to have a 6.4-inch screen and a 25-megapixel selfie camera. The camera will be hidden behind the slider which only takes 0.5 seconds to pop up. It is also powered by a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage, and  3,730mAh battery.

Main article: Smartphones is in the era of experiments from 16:9 aspect ratio to the dual camera setup and now notch. Companies have been constantly experimenting with their Smartphones. Oppo’s new Find X, which is being officially announced at a live-streamed event in Paris today. It is coming with a new experiment. Oppo will be combining a number of trendy design ideas, plus some even newer tricks, to fit an extremely large 6.4-inch display into a phone that you can still hold in one hand.

Oppo claims that the upcoming Oppo Find X will be so space efficient that it will have a screen to body ratio of 93.8 percent. And it does this without utilizing a notch, which should make at least some people happy. This will be achieved with a new camera system.

The Oppo Find X will have a completely new design of camera system. This new design is completely hidden when the phone is off or the camera app is closed.  When you open the camera app the entire top section of the phone motorizes up and reveals a 25-megapixel front-facing camera. It also contains 3D facial scanning system and 16-megapixel + 20-megapixel dual rear camera. The whole assembly motors back into the phone’s chassis as soon as the camera app is closed.  Oppo claims the camera can open in just 0.5 seconds, and based on my experience, that seems fairly accurate.

If we ignore the whole camera system, the Oppo FInd X looks like Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus. You can notice same curved sides and rounded corners. Its display is a vibrant OLED panel with 1080 pixel wide resolution. And both the front and back of the phone feature curved glass.

This mix of hideaway camera framework and a curved screen is the thing that empowers Oppo to have the screen achieve the simple upper edge of the phone, without slicing an indent into it to make space for the front camera. It’s not the first smartphone to do this — simply a week ago Vivo declared the notch less Nex. Which has a fly in advance camera — however Oppo is interesting in that it’s using this framework for both the front and back cameras. It likewise implies there’s no camera knock at all on the back of the telephone. So, it sits flush on a table and doesn’t shake ponderously.

Oppo Find X Specifications:

The Oppo Find X has all the specifications that are needed to compete with all other flagships in the market. It uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor, has 8GB of RAM, and offers up to 256GB of storage. It has a 3,730mAh battery with Oppo’s VOOC fast wired charging that’s similar to OnePlus’ Dash Charge. The Find X is a dual-SIM phone that’s also globally compatible — I was able to use a T-Mobile SIM in the demo unit to grab an LTE signal in New York City.

On the software side, the  Find X is running Android 8.1 Oreo with Oppo’s Color OS customizations. The Color OS gets a lot of thoughts from iOS and Samsung’s turn on Android, which makes for an intriguing mix. It won’t be well-known to anybody used to a Pixel device, however, it’s not the most noticeably awful Android interface I’ve utilized.

The Find X will be available to order in China starting today. And it should cost less than other comparably equipped Android smartphones.
