Now it looks like yesterday’s announcement of Jio GigaFiber will take this war further to the Broadband sector as well. Jio GigaFiber has promised to bring 1Gbps FTTH (Fibre-to-the-Home) connectivity across 1,100 cities. Therefore State-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited already making its move. As a result, BSNL took it to the twitter to announce the new landline broadband plan. The BSNL 491 plan was announced in a tweet by the telecom operator and BSNL’s board member N.K. Mehta. BSNL is calling it as “most economic broadband plan” in the country.

Now if we consider the economic factor of this plan it will seem like true value for money. BSNL 491 broadband plan is offering 20GB of data per day for one month which makes it a total of 600GB. The plan is also offering a respectable speed of 20 Mbps. Beside this, BSNL 491 plan will also provide free unlimited calling to any network. BSNL also said that the plan is already live across their customer service centers, franchises, and retailers.

Earlier in June, BSNL had introduced two new FTTH (Fibre-to-the-Home) plans priced at Rs 777 and Rs 1,277. The Rs. 777 plan offers 500 GB monthly data at 50 Mbps and Rs. 1277 plan offers 750 GB monthly data at 100 Mbps speed.
