Main Article: In the midst of Nokia X6’s Global launch, HMD global today unveiled yet another device. This time it is the new Nokia X5 which is the company’s latest smartphone in the X series in China. The new X5 is also kind of similar to the Nokia X6 which was launched earlier this year in China. The X5 was rumoured to launch earlier this month, but the launch was postponed. However, it is now official and the new X5 also offers an excellent value for money following the legacy of X6. So far HMD Global had launched some good devices in China but in India, it is another story.

The Nokia X5 comes with a 5.86-inch HD+ 19:9 curved display which has a notch on top. However, the notch is wider than the Nokia X6. This device also got a glass back with a polycarbonate frame. HMD Global says the device offers 84% screen-to-body ratio. However, there is a chin at the bottom front along with the Nokia branding and a logo at the back as well below the fingerprint sensor.
The Nokia X5 is powered by MediaTek Helio P60 12nm processor which runs on almost stock Android 8.1 (Oreo) on top. MediaTek Helio P60 is a very capable processor when it comes to performance and it is better than the Snapdragon 636. In addition, it offers 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. In terms of camera, it got 13-megapixel rear camera along with a secondary 5-megapixel camera which offers AI portrait shots. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel shooter which also offers AI-based Portrait mode and beauty mode. In addition, HMD has also promised Android P on X5 and so far the company kept its promises.

Nokia X5 Price and Availability
The Nokia X5 will be available in Night Black, Baltic Sea Blue, and Glacier White colour options. The 3GB/32GB model is priced at 999 yuan ($148 / Rs. 10,200 approx) and 4GB/64GB at 1399 yuan ($208 / Rs. 14,300 approx). The registration for this smartphone has already started and it will go on sale on July 19 through Suning.com, JD.com, Lynx and official Nokia website.
