Main Article: Yesterday, Xiaomi announced the latest Mi Max 3 in China. Mi Max 3 is the latest addition to Xiaomi’s Mi Max lineup and it is a significant upgrade over the Mi Max 2. Therefore, it comes with a bigger display, a bigger battery, and a powerful processor. The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 will be currently available in China only but looking at the history of Mi Max line-up in the Indian market, we hope to see this phablet soon in India.
The new Xiaomi Mi Max 3 comes with massive 6.99 inches FullHD+ 18:9 curved display and packs a massive 5500mah battery. However, Xiaomi didn’t reveal the exactly what protection is used in the display. In addition, Mi Max 3 is powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 which we have seen earlier in the Redmi Note 5 Pro. Therefore, there is no doubt about the performance as we all know Snapdragon 636’s capabilities. Most noteworthy, Mi Max 3 will support Quick Charge 3.0 18W charging.
In contrast, if you remember Mi Max 2 is powered by the previous generation Snapdragon 625. Xiaomi has also focused on the camera department as well. Therefore, it sports a primary 12MP camera on the back with f/1.9 aperture and PDAF accompanied by a 5MP secondary depth sensor. There is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera as well with face unlock support. The cameras are packed with AI features such as 206 scene detection and AI voice assistant.

The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 will come in Meteorite Black, Dream Gold, and Dark Blue color options. The Price of the 4GB/64GB version is 1699 yuan (US$ 252 / Rs.17,320 approx). In addition, 6GB/128GB will cost 1999 yuan (US$ 296 / Rs. 20,375 approx). It is currently available for pre-orders and will go on sale in China on July 20. However, no words from Xiaomi about India launch and pricing. Once we get any information about that, we will update this article accordingly.
