Main Article: Honor finally launched the Honor 9N smartphone in India at an event in New Delhi. Honor 9N is the global version of Honor 9i (2018) which was introduced earlier in China last month. With this new Smartphone, Honor is bringing the Notch style display in the budget segment. The company was touting about the 9N for a while now as no ordinary beauty. In addition, Honor also announced that this smartphone will be “Made in India”.
The Honor 9N is the successor of earlier launched Honor 9 lite in India. Therefore, there is a lot of similarities between this two devices. Honor 9N boasts a 5.84-inch FHD+ FullView IPS display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass with a notch on top. In addition, the backside of the 9N also comes with 12-layer premium glass design which simply looks stunning.
It runs on the same HiSilicon Kirin 659 as the 9 lite which is little disappointing considering the competition. However, the company also confirmed that the Honor 9N will receive GPU Turbo feature with an OTA update. In addition, this time Honor launched a (4GB+128GB) variant as well which makes it the second phone to offer this much of storage after the Realme 1.
Now let’s talk about the cameras as Honor keep focusing on the cameras. It features 13+2 dual rear cameras on the back and a 16MP shooter on the front with support for smart face unlock. As a camera-centric device, it offers features like Portrait Mode, Moving Picture, Panorama, Video, AR lens, Time-Lapse, Filter, and Watermark mode, Perfect Selfie, High-quality Mode, Smile Capture, and Gesture Control etc. In addition, Honor says it comes with 4-in-1 Light Fusion technology. It converts 4 small pixels into 1 large 2.0-micron pixel which will deliver brighter images in low light conditions. On the other hand dual rear cameras offer modes like portrait mode, Light Painting, Time-Lapse and what not.
Furthermore, it comes with Android Oreo out-of-the-box on EMUI on top. It also offers some nifty features like lock screen with privacy protection, Smart Multi-Tasking feature that automatically splits screen. In addition, Smart Dual Bluetooth Connection feature that lets users connect 2 devices and Wi-Fi Bridge that enables users to share any Wi-Fi network as a hotspot and connect a maximum of 4 devices. There is also a Ride Mode which keeps away distractions while riding and Paytm Pay which provides a one-click pay option for users.

The new Honor 9N will be available in Lavender Purple, Robin Egg Blue, Midnight Black, Sapphire Blue. Honor priced this device at Rs. 11,999 (3GB RAM + 32GB internal), Rs. 13,999 (4GB RAM + 64GB internal) and Rs. 17,999 (4GB + 128GB). It will go on sale from 12 pm on July 31 exclusively on Flipkart and Honor official store. The launch offers include Rs. 2,200 cashback from Reliance Jio with 100GB additional data, and Rs. 1,200 Myntra voucher.
