HMD Global debuted Nokia 6.1 Plus in India as the global version of the Nokia X6 which was announced last month. Notably, the Nokia X6 first launched in China back in the May 2018. The Nokia X6 became an instant hit among the Nokia fans and that’s when HMD Global decided to launch it globally.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus comes with a 5.8-inch Full-HD+ (1080×2280 pixels) 19:9 display with a notch on top. This also sports a glass back and both sides of this device are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Underneath it runs Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC along with Adreno 509 GPU. We are pretty familiar with the performance ability of this SoC as it’s the third smartphone in India featuring SD 636.
In the camera department, it sports a dual camera setup on the back and a single camera on the front. 16MP RGB sensor with f/2.0 aperture, 1.0um pixel size and a 5MP monochrome sensor with 1.2um pixel size and f/2.2 aperture on the back. 16MP camera with 1.0um pixel size and f/2.0 aperture on the front. There are features like AI portrait and scene recognition, AI selfies with background blur, stickers and face unlock.

Hence, it will also get the Android Pie update as a part of Android One Programme. It is also backed by a 3060mAh which also supports Quick Charge 3.0. In terms of connectivity, it will include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm audio jack, GPS and a USB Type-C port.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus will be available in Gloss Midnight Blue, Gloss White, and Gloss Black colors. HMD Global priced it at Rs. 15,999 and it will be available exclusively from Flipkart as well as Nokia.com/phones. Pre-orders will start from today and it will go on sale from August 30. Notably, the pre-orders will end on August 30 and shipping will begin August 31.
