Xiaomi Starts Rolling Out MIUI 10 Global Stable ROM for Redmi Note 5 Pro in India

Summary: The Redmi Note 5 Pro becomes the second device to receive MIUI 10 update in India after the Redmi Y2. MIUI 10 update is reportedly rolling out to the Redmi Note 5 Pro users in a phased manner. The new update comes with the version number MIUI 10.0.1.0.OEIMIFH and it also comes with the September 2018 Android Security Patch. The new update includes features like Redesigned Volume Sliders, Improved multitasking management, natural sound system, and more.

Xiaomi released the Redmi Note 5 Pro back in February and it was running on MIUI 9.2 based on Android 7.1 (Nougat). However, it got updated to Android 8.1 (Oreo) with the MIUI 9.5 update in the month of June. The MIUI 9.5 brought features like gesture support, Dual 4G VoLTE and much more. Though in recent times, Xiaomi seems to be little indifferent about the Note 5 Pro when it came to bug-free software updates. Recently, Redmi Y2 became the first device to receive the MIUI 10 stable update in India while the Note 5 Pro users were still waiting to receive the MIUI 9.6.5 update.MIUI 10, Redmi Note 5 ProHowever, from today, the Redmi Note 5 Pro users have started receiving the MIUI 10 stable OTA update out of the blue. The latest update comes with the version number MIUI 10.0.1.0.OEIMIFH. In addition, it also comes with the latest September 2018 Android Security Patch.
