Earlier, Realme launched the Realme 2 which is a very balanced device but not for power users. So finally with the new Realme 2 Pro, the company brings lot more things into one table. Now let’s find out what it is really offering.
Realme is trying to attract the customers with a visually stunning design which contains a dewdrop display notch, a fingerprint scanner with 15-layer laminated technology that offers a glossy visual effect on the back. Though the device is not entirely made out of metal, it feels very premium. It sports a 6.3-inch FHD+ display with a dewdrop notch. In addition, the screen ratio is 90.8% and the display is protected by the 2.5D Gorilla Glass.
Underneath the Realme 2, there is the Snapdragon 660 AIE octa-core processor paired with Adreno 512 GPU. It comes with three RAM and two storage options- 4GB/64GB, 6GB/64GB, and 8GB/128GB. However, it also supports memory expansion via a dedicated MicroSD slot up to 256GB. Realme 2 pro runs on Android 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS OS 5.2
In terms of cameras, it sports dual rear cameras on the back. A 16MP sensor with f/1.7 aperture, 1/2.8-inch Sony IMX398 sensor, 1.12-micron pixel size, and a 6P lens coupled with a secondary 2MP camera with a f/2.4 aperture. On the front, there is a 16MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture with AI Beauty 2.0. The camera app also packs some AI features including portrait mode, multi-frame noise reduction, scene recognition, and it supports AR stickers as well.
The Realme 2 pro also packs a 3,500mAh battery but skips the fast charging as it comes with USB 2.0. In terms of connectivity, it got Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz), Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS + GLONASS, USB OTG.
The Realme 2 Pro will be available in Ice Lake, Black Sea, and Blue Ocean color options. The company priced the device very aggressively as the 4GB+64GB version is priced at Rs. 13,990. Therefore the pricing itself blows away other competition under 15k segment. Furthermore, 6GB+64GB version priced at Rs. 15,990 and the top-end 8GB+128GB version priced at Rs. 17,990. It will go on sale exclusively on Flipkart on October 11 from 12 am. There are also launch offers like up to 1.1TB of data for Reliance Jio customers with benefits up to Rs. 4,450, and No Cost EMI options.
