Late last year we reported that Ubisoft is planning to launch a remastered version of Assassin’s Creed III. However, not much details like the system requirements, platforms and price were known. But now, Ubisoft has finally launched the game for $39.99. The Assassin’s Creed III Remastered will be available via UPlay and Steam on PC and Xbox or Play Station Stores for consoles. Those who already have the season pass of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will get the game for absolutely free. The game will be also coming to Nintendo Switch though that will be happening on May 21st.
After waiting for months, Ubisoft has finally launched the Assassin’s Creed III: Remastered version for PC, Xbox One and PS4. Ubisoft has also confirmed that the game will be coming to Nintendo Switch but that would be on May 21st.
The remastered game includes many of the fan-favorite DLCs and missions including the Tyranny of King Washington, Benedict Arnold, and Hidden Secrets DLC, plus the reworked Assassin’s Creed III Liberation. The game has support for 4K HDR on PC, Xbox One X, and PS4 Pro. For the regular Xbox One and Play Station 4 users will get up to 1080p. The game will also include improvements in crafting, stealth, lighting, character models, and more.
Console and PC users can get the game for $39.99. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey users were already able to preload the game from March 26th. However, if you’re a PC user and want to buy it from Steam then you’ll have to wait till 10 AM PDT /1 PM EDT /5 PM UTC today.
The new Assassin’s Creed III punches quite a lot new and thus the game has now a higher system requirement. So let’s find out what all specifications you’ll need to run the game smoothly on your potato PC.
However, as per current standards, the requirement doesn’t look too high. Surprisingly, it has a lower requirement than Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s which recommends a GTX 1080 for 4K gameplay. However, a better card will obviously ensure more frame rates.
Recommended 1080 60fps
It looks like the game has quite a lot of new things rather than just normal graphics upgrade. The gameplay mechanism looks a lot better and engaging. The firing arrow is now free aim rather than the original lock on system. Players can now whistle from the bushes and there are more stealth options as well.
Ubisoft has also added double silent assassinations and it’s really fun to perform. The minimap has been updated as well. In the graphics department, the crowd density is now a bit higher and everything looks more natural. Finally, the 4K HDR support makes the game more like a 2019 game.
