On Wednesday, Realme officially announced its Realme X smartphone in the Chinese market. Its been a while since Realme X became the talk among the tech enthusiasts. Realme X was speculated to be a flagship from Realme but sadly it is not. However, it will be more accurate if we say it is a near perfect version of Realme 3 Pro. There is no doubt that Realme 3 Pro is an excellent device for its price and a tough competitor of Redmi Note 7 Pro. However, If Realme launched the Realme X instead of Realme 3 Pro then it could be intense even more. Moving on, as the device is now official let’s have a quick look at the specification.
It features 6.53-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display from Samsung with 2.2mm narrow border on the top. Furthermore, it has 1.62mm ultra narrow bezels on the sides offering 91.2% screen-to-body ratio. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and there is a 6th generation in-display fingerprint scanner as well. Notably, Realme said Realme X’s display comes with 100% NTSC Color Gamut support. So basically that means it should reproduce all the colors on the display accurately.
Realme X’s Dimensions are 161.2×76×9.4mm and the weight is 191g. The thickness and the weight is all because of the new glass back. It now flaunts a glass back featuring a gradient finish in ‘S’ shaped curve.
However, Realme opted for the same processor as the Realme 3 pro and it is indeed the Snapdragon 710 SoC. As we all know, it is based on the 10nm process and features Dual 2.2GHz Kryo 360 + Hexa 1.7GHz Kryo 360 CPUs with Adreno 616 GPU. Realme X now comes with a new gel cooling that reduces the temperature up to 15.2% in one hour.
There are three RAM and two storage options- 4GB+64GB, 6GB+64GB, 8GB+128GB. It runs on the same ColorOS 6.0 based on Android 9.0 Pie. All this is backed by a 3765mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging.
On the camera part, it now features 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor with f/1.7 aperture, 6P lens, LED flash coupled with a 5MP depth camera. As it is an all screen display, Realme X now comes with a popup 16MP selfie camera with Sony IMX471 sensor, f/2.0 aperture.
Other features include- Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C port.
