Main Article:

Just like every year, OnePlus was able to surprise everyone with its two new budget flagships. One of which is OnePlus 7. The flagship is definitely not a showstopper but we think the OnePlus 7 is a phone worth getting excited about too.

Pricing and Specs:

OnePlus 7 doesn’t have some great specs as its bigger and more expensive sibling, but what did grab everyone’s attention was that starting price. The flagship has a starting price of just RS. 32,999. The flagship does have some tremendous features on paper. On this price, you get the same Snapdragon 855 SoC as the OnePlus 7 Pro. And no doubt this is a great reason to buy this phone.

Apparently, OnePlus 7 have looked virtually identical to the OnePlus 6T, in fact, it is impossible to differentiate the two phones when kept together. And this is the only thing that we didn’t like about the phone. OnePlus should have tweaked a little bit here and there in the looks.

With the fact that  7 is cheaper than 6T, it is also a little lighter in weight. Both variants incredibly glossy and fingerprints are going to be a big pain if you’re not planning on using a case. Of the two color options, we think the Red one looks more attractive.

The younger brother does have some key selling features that the Pro model has. You get the same fast UFS 3.0 flash storage, stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos support, upgraded in-display fingerprint sensor, front camera, and primary rear camera of the bigger model. The OnePlus 7 runs the same OxygenOS 9.5 as the OnePlus 7 Pro and has some of the same new additions such as the in-built screen recorder and Zen mode. However, the fanatic gaming mode was missing.

Worth buying? :

So, to wrap it all, if you are a OnePlus 6T user then it is not a good idea to upgrade to OnePlus 7. But if you were thinking of buying 6T then waiting for OnePlus 7 to go on sale in June would be a good option. You will be buying a better phone at a cheaper price.
