Aarogya Setu app new feature added which enables the user to delete accounts and data permanently.
Arogya Setu app updated with an option to delete user account permanently. It allows the users to delete the account and erase all the data. Besides this application will now allow the users to give health data access to other applications. However, the information will be deleted from the associated phone but not from the government server.
The information which has been provided by the user will last on the government server for 30 days. As it deletes your account permanently there are number steps you need to follow. In order to delete your account, you have to provide your phone number as your account will be removed permanently. By removing the account, your Aarogya Setu registration will also be canceled.
The latest update will be available for both android and iOS users.
Here are the steps to delete your account from the Aarogya Setu app.
For android users, select the settings menu in your app. Click on “delete my account” and then provide your registered mobile number to complete the process of deletion.
iOS users can delete their account clicking on “delete_account_file” and then enter their phone number to complete the process.
This new feature of the application is exceptionally convenient for the users because before there were no such options available.
Allows third-party apps to access a user’s health status
Moving on to the next update of the Aarogya Setu app. Now the application allows users to give permission to other third-party applications to access their health data on the Aarogya Setu app. For granting access to external applications, first user has to open settings. Then click on “approval for Aarogya Setu status”. After turning it on, a list of third-party apps will be provided to the user. These apps have been granted permission to access the user’s health data. As of now, this update is only available for iOS users, but soon it will be available for the android users too.
The updated versions of the Aarogya Setu app (version 1.3.1) is now available on Google play store. The latest iOS version 2.0.0 is available to download on the App store.
