We all know that WhatsApp is the world’s most popular messaging app. To maintain its position the company is adding new features frequently. Recently WhatsApp received an update to support sending all type of files and documents across the user. However, the current size limit is 100MB. We are hoping that they’ll soon increase that and we’ll be able to send any files without any worries. There are also some minor changes here and there. In this update, the UI of WhatsApp calling screen has been changed and when typing text in a chat window, users can now tap and hold to select the text to easily bold, strikethrough, or italicize. More major features will be coming to WhatsApp with upcoming updates.

Now let’s talk about Its upcoming updates:

  1. WhatsApp YouTube integration
  2. Message Recall
  3. WhatsApp UPI

WhatsApp Youtube integration:

The Company is working on its new feature for iOS users to play YouTube video links directly from the WhatsApp app without leaving the app. That means we don’t need to stop chatting anymore. Users can expand a video without pausing it, or slide it to the right to completely hide the video and read chats. There’s a new WhatsApp section that will let users watch videos in full-screen mode. Hoping this feature to be coming soon all across the platform.

Message Recall:

Say bye to “OOPS” & “SORRY”. There has been news that WhatsApp will soon introduce message recall or revoke to its next big update version. The new recall feature on WhatsApp will let users edit or recall a sent message. It will work by long pressing a sent message. However, the feature to recall or edit sent messages will probably work only in the case if the receiver hasn’t seen the message from the sender.

WhatsApp UPI:

Now here it is becoming more interesting a recent news says that the company has received permission from the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) to enter into a partnership with multiple banks to allow users to make in-app payments and money transfers using the Unified Payments Interface (UPI). As it is the most popular messaging app if UPI happens within WhatsApp then it’ll be in a different league and think about its unlimited possibilities.
