Xiaomi launched first self-focused smartphones in India. The company says the Redmi Y series targets the youth of the nation. Redmi Y1 and Redmi Y1 Lite are the 1st two devices of this series.

Both phones might be part of new y series. Yet they are already familiar. Same as the global versions of the Redmi Note 5A Prime and the Redmi Note 5A. furthermore, Xiaomi also announced the availability of the MIUI 9 Global ROM for its smartphones in India.

The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 priced at Rs. 8,999 for the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version and the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version will be available at Rs. 10,999.

The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 Lite is priced at Rs. 6999

Both the phones will be available exclusively on Amazon.in, Mi.com, as well as Mi Home, starting from November 8th.
