Today, Motorola India announced the opening of 25 new Moto hubs in Kolkata to strengthen its retail presence. The Lenovo owned company has a strong retail presence in online but the company now want to breakthrough this image. Motorola is trying to further strengthen its retail presence by opening Moto hubs. According to Motorola, Moto Hub is a key destination that house the entire portfolio of Moto devices. Furthermore, it will allow customers to get a hands-on demo including the recently launched devices like Moto Z2 Force and Moto X4 and so on.
What do Moto Hubs offer?
According to Motorola, Indians still prefer retail shopping when it comes to smartphones and Moto Hub is all about that. It will offer hands-on experience with every product. That will give customers a mental satisfaction about the Moto products before buying.
In addition, consumers will find Moto accessories like on-ear and in-ear headphones, moto shells, and covers. As well as, the recently launched Moto Mods will also be available for consumers to experience and purchase. Furthermore, customers can also experience the JBL Sound Boost 2 Speaker, Moto TurboPower Pack battery, and the Gamepad Mod as well.

Moto Hubs to Strengthen Retail Presence?
According to GFK, the eastern region contributes 15% of the total smartphones retail sales in India out of a total of 7M units per month. Kolkata has emerged as the 6th biggest city in India with a market of 1.5 lakh units per month. So Motorola is trying to strengthen its business in the East region by opening Moto Hubs in Kolkata.

With Moto hubs, we are giving smartphones lovers a fresh retail experience where they can interact and engage with the brand prior to the purchase. we have accelerated the retail expansion significantly to ensure that we are present where our customers want us to be.”
Furthermore, Motorola already opened 50 new Moto Hubs in New Delhi in earlier January 2018. Motorola also partnered with retailers across the country to provide retail access to consumers. This has taken the total number of Moto Hub stores to 400. Therefore, Motorola is targeting one-third of the company’s total sales to come from organized Motorola outlets and Moto hubs.
