Turing Announces HubblePhone with Six Cameras and Three Displays

Summary: Turing has announced yet another futuristic smartphone, the HubblePhone. This new smartphone will feature a unique clamshell form factor which will offer Three Displays, Six Cameras, and some insane specifications. It will feature Dual Snapdragon 855 CPU with 5G Modem, 16GB RAM, and 512GB of internal storage accompanied by an “emotional machine-intelligence chip”. To know more about this have a look at the main article below. 

Main Article: Turing Robotic Industries is a Californian company, founded by former Nokia employees in 2015. The company manufactures its phones in Salo, Finland and uses Nokia’s old production facilities. The first product released by the company was The Turing Phone and later Appassionato phone. However, It was one of the few manufacturers that decided to use the Sailfish OS instead of Android. Both the smartphones failed miserably to bring sales numbers. Finally, Turing recently filed for bankruptcy but it seems like they are not yet given up hopes. Therefore, the company recently announced a bizarre futuristic smartphone that you have never imagined before. The Turing HubblePhone is that new smartphone which comes with a crazy design and filled with futuristic technologies.

Design

The name of this new smartphone is named after NASA’s Hubble space telescope. The device is basically two smartphones attached with a swiveling arm. The main body is called as main deck and flipping and swiveling out of the main body, is called the upper deck.  In addition, There is a scroll wheel on the side, along with a programmable button.Turing, HubblePhone

The HubblePhone comes with  Liquid Metal / Titanium Aluminide Space Metal Structure in a clamshell form factor in the back. Furthermore, HubblePhone features three displays. The main deck has an edge-to-edge AMOLED display. It runs through from one side to the other add up to 11.81 inches with a resolution of up to 4K. The upper deck got two displays,  at one side 5.44-inch while the other is a 5.41-inch AMOLED display with full-HD resolution. Specifications and Features

Now if we talk about the specifications, the HubblePhone comes with Dual CPUs. Both the decks will feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset (yet to be announced).  Each deck features Adreno 630 GPUs, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. So there is a total of 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.

According to Turing, HubblePhone utilizes an emotional machine-intelligence chip to provide a next-gen mobile gaming experience. The added computation, multi-screens, and advanced camera features create a new dimension in mobile gaming by integrating AR, VR, MR, XR and AfR technologies into a cohesive experience.

The main deck also features a 5G capable modem and a dual SIM hybrid SIM slot is available on both the decks. On the software part, the upper deck runs Android P and a FreeBSD-based OS called Turing Keplerian OS. Interestingly, the HubblePhone also comes with six cameras. The main deck features dual 12MP cameras with 2x optical zoom and an LED flash. The upper deck’s primary setup got same dual 12MP cameras and a 3D Light sensor. However, There is also a secondary camera setup on the upper deck featuring a 12MP camera with 2x optical zoom and an LED flash.  However, the main camera of the HubblePhone is a 60MP camera. Turing HubblePhone Price and Availability

This futuristic piece of technology is expected to release in the US in June 2020, and in Europe, China, and the rest of the world eventually. HubblePhone got everything jaw-dropping including the price tag. Turing HubblePhone will come with a price tag of $2,750, which is roughly Rs. 1,89,000. However, this price could be increased as some of its components don’t even exist yet.
