News: Anno 1800 to be Epic Store Exclusive, Apple Cancels AirPower

It’s Sunday, you all must be chilling at your home or going out somewhere to enjoy. However, I don’t have a day off as I’m here to present to you some interesting news. Let’s get started.

Apple has formally called off the AirPower wireless charger

During the 2017 iPhone 8, 8 Plus and X launch, Apple also showcased a futuristic wireless charger called AirPower. As per Apple, one single AirPower charger could have been used to charge your iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods as well. However, the plan didn’t go well.

At first, Apple said the AirPower wireless charger will arrive sometime in 2018. Although that never happened. There were numerous rumors about the product. But now Apple has finally announced that they have canceled the AirPower wireless charger. In a statement an Apple spokesperson said,

After much effort, we’ve concluded AirPower will not achieve our high standards and we have cancelled the project. We apologize to those customers who were looking forward to this launch. We continue to believe that the future is wireless and are committed to push the wireless experience forward,

As per our sources, the AirPower faced over-heating issue as it was using a lot more coils than a standard Qi Wireless charger.

Anno 1800 goes to Epic Store, will be pulled out of Steam at Launch

The Metro Exodus saga is still fresh and even before steam could recover another arrow heats Steam. This time Ubisoft’s Anno 1800 will be leaving Steam to become an Epic store exclusive.

The game is available for pre-order currently on Steam. However, it will be removed on 16th April post-launch. Anyone who buys the game before April 16th will get all the updates and DLC as per steam.

Here is what Steam said in a statement,

Sales of Anno 1800 will be discontinued on Steam after April 16th due to a publisher decision to make the game exclusive to another PC store.

The publisher has assured us that all prior sales of the game on Steam will be fulfilled on Steam, and Steam owners will be able to access the game and any future updates or DLC through Steam.

We apologize to Steam customers that were expecting it to be available for sale after the April 16th release date.

Once Anno 1800 is removed from Steam it will be available on Epic Store and Uplay.
