Xiaomi has decided to start 2018 by giving Mi A1 users the Android Oreo Update. Back in September in 2017, Xiaomi launched the first Android one device from the company. Mi A1 offers amazing Portrait shots that every other device failed to deliver at such competitive price. In addition, Google promised that It will be one of the 1st devices that will receive Android P. Back in December, Xiaomi started testing the Oreo update with a few beta testers.
Xiaomi launched Mi A1 under Google’s Android One programme and promised to give Android Oreo by the end of 2017. So starting from today, the Mi A1 will receive the Android Oreo update. Every Mi A1 user will not receive the update instantly as this update will be available in batches.

In addition, users need to first install software version 7.12.19 (Android Nougat) on their Mi A1 to receive the OTA update to Android Oreo (version 7.12.29). The update package will come in 1107.4MB size means 1.1GB and will take 15 minutes to install. It will also include the December Android security patch. It is noticeable that Notably, the Xiaomi Mi A1 will be the first device from Xiaomi to receive the Android Oreo update.
