In November last year, Xiaomi introduced Mi exchange Program. It allowed users to exchange their old smartphones for a new one. Most noteworthy, Xiaomi had partnered with Cashify to launch the Mi Exchange programme in India. At that time the Program was only available at offline on Mi Home stores. However, the company has expanded the program to its website, Mi.com. Therefore, from now on customers can avail the exchange program via Mi.com as well alongside Mi Homes store. The main concept behind the expansion of this program is to encourage more consumers to buy Xiaomi Smartphones. Under the new program, potential buyers will be able to avail an instant exchange coupon which they can use to replace their old smartphone with a new Xiaomi device.Mi Exchange

Here’s How The Mi Exchange Program Works

  1. Firstly, visit this Mi Exchange Dedicated Page on Mi.com
  2. Then select your smartphone from the list of supported devices offered by the company. You can Choose from the list of 15 brands that are eligible for the Exchange program. If you can’t find your device in the list, then you will not be eligible for the program.
  3. The device must be in working condition and not physically damaged otherwise it can’t be exchanged. Your phone also needs to have all Screen locks disabled and the device should be unlocked
  4. Then you have to tick on the terms and conditions box and click on Get exchange coupon.
  5. After that, once you accept the exchange value offered by Xiaomi, using the IMEI number, your Mi account will be credited with the exchange value coupon.
  6. After receiving the exchange coupon in Mi account. You can now purchase any smartphone from Mi.com. In addition, while purchasing any smartphone will automatically discount its price by the amount credited to your Mi account.
  7. After placing the order successfully, you have to hand over your old smartphone to the Xiaomi executive at the time of delivery.Mi Exchange

**Note: You can not exchange more than one device at a time. In addition, you cannot provide separate addresses for delivery and pick up. However, the exchange coupon is valid for a time period of 14 days from the time of issuance. In case the old smartphone is found not eligible for exchange then the order will be canceled and the entire amount will be refunded.
