Realme 3 Pro is finally now official. After a bunch of rumors, speculations, and controversies, Today Realme officially unveiled the Realme 3 Pro in India. Realme 3 Pro is the successor of the previously launched Realme 2 Pro. It now comes with some serious upgrades over it’s earlier generation. With the newly launched 3 Pro, Realme is all set to take on the Redmi Note 7 Pro in India. We all know that Redmi Note 7 Pro came with very promising hardware and one of the first devices to feature the Snapdragon 675. On the other hand, Realme’s 3 Pro comes with Snapdragon 710 which is also unprecedented in the sub 20k price range. So without any further delay, let’s talk about the specifications in more detail.
Realme 3 Pro Specifications
Design & Display
Firstly, it features a stunning gradient back with 82 S-shaped curves, running parallel the back. Though it will seem like glass finish, sadly it is actually plastic. The dimensions of the Realme 3 Pro are 156.8×74.2×8.3 mm and weighs at 172 grams. Now coming to the display, It features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ (2340 × 1080 pixels) IPS display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio with a Dewdrop notch. It comes with a whopping 90.8% screen-to-body ratio and it is protected by 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Notably, the display has a peak brightness of 400 nits with a contrast ratio of 1200:1
Hardware & Software
Underneath the 3 Pro, there is Snapdragon 710 coupled with Adreno 616 GPU. For the unaware, Snapdragon 710 is based on the 10nm process and features (Dual 2.2GHz Kryo 360 + Hexa 1.7GHz Kryo 360 CPUs). If you are wondering how it fares against the Snapdragon 675 then you should know both SOCs has its own pros. SD 675’s CPU performance is superior to SD 710’s but the GPU is far better on the SD 710 and 710 is also little more power efficient while compared to the SD 675.
There are two RAM and Storage varients- 4GB (LPPDDR4x) RAM with 64GB storage and 6GB (LPPDDR4x) RAM with 128GB storage. Storage can be expanded up to 256GB with microSD as it comes with a triple card slot.
On the software part, it runs Android 9.0 PIE out of the box with Color OS 6.0 on top. It packs features like- Hyperboost 2.0 with touchboost and frameboost for enhanced touch control and frame rate while gaming. It also comes with the Content Adaptive Brightness Control (CABC) mode which improves battery life.
Now coming to the most awaited part which is the camera. While the competition Redmi Note 7 pro brags about its 48MP camera sensor, Realme opted to challenge it little differently. Realme 3 Pro features a 16MP primary camera with f/1.7 aperture ( 1/2.6″ Sony IMX519 1.22μm sensor), with a 5MP secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture (GC5035 sensor). Notably, Sony IMX519 sensor is the same sensor found on the OnePlus 6T.
On the front, there is a 25-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture, 1/2.8″ sensor and comes with 1.8μm pixel size with the help of pixel binning technology. The camera is rich with features like AI scene recognition, 960fps super slow motion video recording, Ultra HD mode for capturing 64MP images, EIS and optimized Nightscape and chroma boost mode.
Realme also bumped up the battery capacity in the 3 Pro while compared with the 2 Pro. It now packs a massive 4045mah battery with VOOC 3.0 which is another highlight of the device. The 5V-4A fast charger (20W) will be provided in the box as well.
The Realme 3 Pro packs a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a super fast face unlock for quick authentications. The final retail version will come with the Widevine L1 certification. On the connectivity side, it includes Bluetooth 5.0, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4GHz+5GHz), a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a Micro-USB port.
